How your business can support Martin House Children’s Hospice
Martin House Children’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support for children and young people with life-shortening conditions, and their families.
This includes planned short breaks, symptom management, emergency care, end-of-life care and bereavement support. All its services are available free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to families across West, North and East Yorkshire.
Each year, Martin House’s specialist clinical team cares for more than 500 children and young people with complex health needs. It costs around £12 million a year to provide this care, with the majority funded through voluntary donations and fundraising.
Martin House’s partners play a crucial role in sustaining this work. They provide strategic, financial and volunteer support, as well as helping to raise awareness of the hospice.
Named Charity of the Year 2025 at The National Charity Today Awards, Martin House works closely with businesses – including HARIBO, Yorkshire Garden Centres and High Street TV – to build impactful partnerships that benefit both families and organisations.

Fundraising and workplace activities
Companies can raise vital funds through a wide range of activities, from organised challenges to workplace initiatives, like raffles, bake-offs and themed days. Every pound raised helps support families, funding services such as counselling, community visits and specialist nursing care.
Strategic and financial support
Businesses can provide direct financial support, helping to deliver essential services and long-term projects, including hospice developments. This type of support can leave a lasting legacy for families and ensure the hospice can continue to meet growing and changing needs.
Donations and specialist giving
Organisations can also support Martin House through targeted giving, such as donating unclaimed client funds or contributing through corporate foundations. These contributions help fund essential services and provide vital support to families during the most difficult times.
